1.Firstly,molecular weight: Materials with a molecular weight above 1.5 million are called UHMWPE board,while those with a molecular weight below 1.5 million are called high-density polyethylene.
2、 Wear resistance: The wear resistance is directly proportional to the molecular weight, and the higher the molecular weight, the better the wear resistance. Therefore, the wear resistance of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene is higher than that of HDPE sheet.
Ultra high molecular weight polyethylene raw materials can be divided into domestic raw materials and imported raw materials. The molecular weight of domestic raw materials can reach 3-5 million, while the molecular weight of imported raw materials can reach 9 million.
3、 Forming process: Ultra high molecular weight polyethylene adopts a high-temperature and high-pressure molding process, and the resulting Plastic Plate has length and width limitations. High density polyethylene board adopts extrusion process, and the length limitations of the produced board are relatively small, which can be freely cut.
How should we choose these two types of plates? There is not much demand for the wear resistance of the board, but it is only required to have a beautiful appearance, self-lubricating, load-bearing capacity, and affordable price. Therefore, hdpe plate can be chosen. If there is a high demand for wear resistance, choose ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene sheet.
